Demi Lovato Going Undercover As A Lyft Driver Is The New ‘Carpool Karaoke’

Can you even IMAGINE if you were picked up by Demi?

Demi Lovato may be busy touring the country with Nick Jonas, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have time the mastermind and epic prank. Before her performance in Denver, Demi teamed up with Lyft by pretending to be a driver for the service—the passengers she picked up had absolutely NO IDEA who she was.

The “Body Say” singer wore a hat and sunglasses to disguise her appearance. She talked to unsuspecting fans about her life goals of being singer while asking passengers about their opinions of a singer named Demi Lovato.

In no particular order, here are Demi’s highlights:

—“I actually really want to be a singer someday.”

—“Like, I’ve actually been traveling the country with my ex-boyfriend’s brother.”

— “He sings too, and we really want to get our names out there at open mic nights and like whatever we can do.”

— “I love Lyft! It’s like a job that’s cool…for the summer.”

— “Demi who?” 😂

— “Selena’s so much more talented. She’s got like a way better voice.”

Then, they go into Jonas Brothers territory when a passenger admits she used to be obsessed with them—and no kidding, so was Demi! They even sing the iconic “Camp Rock” song “This Is Real, This Is Me” and it makes us SO HAPPY. But seriously, how did that girl not recognize Demi’s angelic, powerful voice?

Demi then asks the unsuspecting passengers if they’re sure they haven’t met Demi before—and then takes off her sunglasses for the big reveal. The best is when one girl admits to “insulting the hell out of her” by saying that Selena is more talented—but then they hug it out, because LOL.

I’ve gotta say, Demi as an undercover Lyft driver sure gives James Corden a run for his money with Carpool Karaoke. Next time Demi is in your city and you get a Lyft, be on the lookout, cause it very well could just be your favorite pop star in the driver’s seat.
