When you’re on a Paris holiday relaxing in your rented apartment, the last thing you expect is for your vacation to take a terrifying turn. But that’s exactly what happened to one wife, daughter and mother of two in the early hours of Monday morning, when five men disguised as police officers broke into the private apartment building in Paris’ 8th arrondissement. The men threatened the building’s concierge with a weapon, handcuffed him and forced him to open the door to the woman’s room.
Two armed, masked men bound the woman’s hands and feet with tape, then gagged her and locked her in the bathroom. The intruders proceeded to steal $10 million in jewelry. The woman’s purse, two cell phones and 1,000 euros were also taken, E! News reports.
“She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home,” a source told the outlet. “Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub. She thought they were for sure going to kill her.” After the men left, she “broke out of her bindings and got out.”
The woman involved in this incident is named Kim Kardashian. You might have heard of her. At times, you may have made fun of her or rolled your eyes at the mention of her name. The truth is, a lot of people despise the Kardashian family, claiming the family is untalented, vapid, famous for no reason, etc. America continues to love shaming this family while obsessing over their lifestyle.
But when it comes to a scary incident like this, there is no denying the facts: A mother’s life was threatened and there is nothing funny about it.
It’s frightening that the safety of celebrity women continues to be compromised. Just last week, Kim was almost the victim of a prank by a man who tried to kiss her butt. This is the same man who was elbowed by model Gigi Hadid after he tried to physically pick her up. Thankfully, Kim’s security team took the man down before he laid a finger on her.
