Women are the superior sex. They’re kinder, more emotionally intelligent, more faithful and generally smarter than men.

Or in any case, that’s what runs through my mind while I watch this incredible viral video featuring a man explaining to his ex-girlfriend why he cheated on her time and time again, even though the two were in love.

The Scene, a news and entertainment site “for women who get it,” published the video on Valentine’s Day. Since then, it’s racked up over 11 million views.

The woman is Kourtney Jorge, 23, a government and community affairs consultant at the 9/11 Memorial in New York City. The man is Kourtney’s ex-boyfriend, Leonard.

Is it just me, or is Kourtney infinitely better than Leonard? He seems to feel no real remorse, while she’s a veritable fountain of feeling. He can’t even remember how many times he cheated on her. And once, when she caught him in the act, he “told her to leave”? Um…what?

Social media apparently agrees with me: The hashtag #hurtbae started trending right after this video dropped as a way for women (and some men, too) to talk about their reactions to the emotional scene and to share their own experiences:

Kourtney has said she appreciates the support. On Thursday, two days after the video was released, she posted this ’gram:

Leonard, meanwhile, apparently found a new girlfriend right after the video was filmed.

We’ll see how long that lasts.
