Tools to help
As part of our work, we support organisations to bring digital into their work. Not because we think everyone should be jumping on the digital bandwagon for the sake of it, but because we’ve seen, time and again, how small changes, simple tools, and a little bit of expertise can really boost productivity, and save hours of time. As we all know, time is money, and in an era of reduced funding, saving time can mean saving money to use to deliver vital services.
Imagine if you could create your own images, for free, with your own brand in them. What about building and updating a simple, fuss free website, without a website designer? What would it do to your work, your week, your travel budget, if you could run meetings online?
This document here is a list of the tools we’ve found so far. It covers messaging and file sharing, mailing lists and meeting planning, conference calling and contact management, as well as fundraising, graphic design and much, much more. Many of these tools can be used entirely for free — many also offer very low price add ons, for extra services.
We are technology agnostic so these are not recommendations — but as we, in the course of our work, find these tools, it makes sense to us to share them. We hope our non- exhaustive, constantly added to, list helps you — and we’d love to know how you get on!
