As years have passed by,the prize money of The International has been increasing considerably from a whopping amount of 1.6 million $ in 2011 to more than 20 million+ $ in 2017,it’s like the craze and enthusiasm for dota2 going up and up with passing time.As people are getting aware of the fact that it’s not only the physical sports that can earn money but e-sports too.So more competition,more passionate players,more crowd,larger audience and a million fans around the globe to cheer you up.Taking a recent look at the past year winners of The International-:

Out of all 6 TI played Chinese teams have managed to win 3 TI,so it leads out that Chinese dota2 is by far strongest contender of the title.So this year the interesting thing to watch would be the clash of 10k MMR players.Recently DC.Abed and Secret Midone have been able to reach the 10k MMR mark and seems like the match between these two teams would be a highly hyped one but looking upon the last year’s performance the teams that are favourites for the title of TI would be-:

1. OG-:Winning 2 majors,Kiev Major and Boston Major after TI 6 and 2 position in Dota2 Asia Championship,they have a decent chance of winning this TI.After all they are masters of winning majors and who knows when can they turn to be a TI winner.
2. Team Liquid-:With one of the most fan favourite player”Miracle” along with Matumbaman and gh,the first 9k MMR trio in any team can possibly turn out to be TI winner.Winners of Dream league season 6,Epicentre 2017,Star ladder i league invitational#2 and Star series season 3 they are one of the strongest contender of this TI.
3. Evil Geniuses-:Winner of TI 2015 and one of the most calm,composed and stable team,EG has a fair chance of winning this TI.Winners of the Manilla Masters,China Top 2016 and Mars Dota2 league 2016.They seem very composed this time too and are strong contender of winning TI.
4. Invictus Gaming-: The TI 2 champions are directly invited t the TI 7 after winning the Dota2 Asia Championship.They are one of the strongest contenders of the TI and one can’t simply ignore the Chinese dota2 how disciplined these guys are and yet hope they can repeat the history again.

Like every year this TI has crossed the biggest prize pool ever in any e-sports.So it would be a very healthy competition out there with young team Infamous fighting against the experienced Newbee and players like Puppey,Universe,Kuroky and Burning to lead their team to lift that Aegis once again.

The rosters been locked,teams have settled,strategies are being made,players practising in pubs and MMR shouting out loud about the skills.So let’s hope like previous TI’s this one would be also thrilling,exciting and full of surprises.May the best and deserving team wins the TI 7.
