Solid Balance 1.3: Prediction model, Insights page update, Notifications

During the last few weeks, we rolled out a few updates to the application. Happy to share them with you:
Prediction model
We added machine learning model to the first tab, which predicts numbers of steps for the current day based on your previous activity.
In order to achieve this result, we extensively used Apple’s CreateML framework for pre-training models (using our data), which later are included in the application itself. Then using CoreML libraries on customer devices we partially re-train models using customers data and in the end, provide predictions.
The process of updating models is executed every day, taking into account how precise or off estimates were. All customer’s data and data which was produced during the calculations never leaves the device.
Insights page update
We extended the functionality of the insights page, now you can filter your data by weeks, months, and years. Also, you can travel back in time to explore progress over years back.
Notifications
Another change which was made: is now we are sending push notification once a week, and once a month with an update on your statistics for each period accordingly.
Other changes
- Added: continues fetch of data for Today view (with 3 months limit).
- Added: better support for devices with small screens.
- Email subscription
