A 100 years ago, women achieved the right to vote through the People Representation Act, which makes this year really special. But not many know that British women football has been alive longer than that. It has been kicking for 150 years including being through a ban on women’s game for half-century.

Now we can say that nobody can stop it growing.

There have Lewis FC , the first ever football club to pay equal wages to both male and female players. And London Leopard project helps 100 female coaches to join girl’s football training program.

The growth of women’s football is unprecedented, especially with British Olympic association showing their intention of joining the world football tournament.

So, it’s really possible that we may a chance to see British women’s football team get a gold medal at Tokyo Olympic games in 2020.
