Oh what a grand time to be a royal-watcher! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married! Is there anything better than the marriage of a prince and the making of a new princess?
However, Meghan’s new title will probably not be “Princess Meghan.” For various complicated British peerage reasons, it’s possible she will be styled the Duchess of Sussex. Seems like it should be easy: You marry a queen, you become a king. You marry a prince, you become a princess.
But honestly — who cares??? There’s going to be a brand new AMERICAN PRINCESS! That’s the best part for American royal-watchers!

Prince Harry is of course the son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. Meghan Markle is of course the accomplished American actress and soon-to-be wearer of what’s sure to be the most beautiful wedding dress of the decade — if not the century. The world will have to wait for that dress and the associated honeymoon trousseau, which are going to be stunning and swoon-worthy. Dare we hope for another Dover release soon after the May 18 wedding date?
The nuptials will be celebrated at St. George’s chapel at Windsor Castle. It’s going to be grand, that’s for sure. The British are really, really good at this.
