AN AUTONOMOUS CRYPTOARTIST MINTING DAILY NFT’S ON POLYGON
As can likely be recognized as a pattern by now among things I deploy; CryptoVisions is experimental; it’s also contributive to, but not dependent on, the $DOWN Vault ecosystem.
So, what is CryptoVisions?
In a few words, CryptoVisions is an autonomous NFT artist minting a single 1-of-1 artwork every day.
In a lot more words, CryptoVisions is a workflow automation that harnesses the capabilities of LLM / NLM AI models, and those of ERC4337 account abstraction to autonomously query market data, create artwork influenced by said data, upload it to IPFS, and mint it as an NFT on the Polygon network.
The remainder of the article was dictated, then rewritten using AI.
At 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time each day, an automated workflow is initiated to retrieve specific coin data from CoinGecko. While the current workflow is tailored for Bitcoin, it remains adaptable based on community input or other relevant factors. The data obtained from CoinGecko is then incorporated into a Dall-E 2 prompt, leveraging various numerical variables to influence color palettes and other artistic elements. This seamlessly integrated prompt becomes an integral part of the ongoing creative process.
Upon generating the artwork, it is uploaded to IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), and a unique NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is minted on the Polygon blockchain. Presently, this endeavor serves as a recreational pursuit without any associated utilities. However, we’ll actively explore ideas for artwork sales and the potential establishment of an independent collection, distinct from existing collections and unrelated to any specific project.
One potential approach involves granting voting rights to individuals who own the NFTs, allowing them to propose modifications to prompt parameters, the selected coin for data retrieval, frequency, and other adjustable elements. Another possibility entails utilizing NFT20, a fractionalization protocol, or the ‘eth items’ standard by EOS non Labs. The precise details of this aspect are still under consideration. For instance, if NFT20 were employed, each NFT could be fractionally divided into 100 CryptoVisions20 tokens, and any NFT within the pool would be redeemable for 100 CryptoVisions20 tokens. This approach would enable the creation of 100 new coins on a daily basis, which could be traded for available artworks, and would allow an autonomous and liquid art collection.
Alternatively, we may establish a customized marketplace where the artwork is auctioned in exchange for specific coins that align with our objectives. While this initiative is intended to be independent, certain aspects may be leveraged for the Down Vault project. At the core of this system lies a combination of automation platforms and account abstraction, facilitating the retrieval of data from Coin Gecko for a designated token. This data is then translated into numerical values that influence aspects such as color palette, patterns, and styles. The resulting artwork is uploaded to IPFS, with the image and IPFS URL included in the metadata. Each artwork represents a unique, one-of-a-kind NFT.
Currently, there are no definitive plans for utility or direct integration with the Down Vault ecosystem. Nonetheless, within the realm of crypto and NFTs, we firmly believe that every artwork should possess functionality beyond its artistic value. While we recognize the existence of art that solely serves aesthetic purposes, we also acknowledge the opportunity and accessibility provided by the existing infrastructure to infuse each artwork with additional significance.
Overall, the direction of CryptoVisions, and subsequently, the utilities, governance, supply cap, etc. are yet to be fully determined; but are planned to be a collaborative and ongoing process that involves the collectors and others who have made contributions to the project.
