My name is Karyn Price, and I’m a YouTuber who’s taking the coronavirus seriously.

From social distancing with JoJo Siwa at Disneyland to vlogging our socially distanced gender reveal party, The Price Family channel does quarantine right.

I know it’s been ten months since this hysteria started, and COVID is winding down. (Vaccine? Don’t trust it. COVID will die out on its own.) But the coronavirus has changed our lives, so it’s changed our vlogs, because we vlog our lives. It’s been an adjustment for everyone in the Price fam: Harley (my husband), Ryder (our seven-year-old daughter), Braxxtyn and Jaxxyn (our four-year-old twin boys), and baby Price, due in two months. (Follow in-the-oven Price’s verified Insta, @babygirl.price! The first two posts are her adorbs ultrasound pictures.) As an Instagram influencer and YouTuber with a 7.5-million subscriber family channel — The Price Family — I recognize my responsibility to model safety for my viewers and followers. Plus, Purell and Clorox just reached out for sponsorships.

Ryder’s birthday vlog, for example, was very different this year. Last November, we brought all the girls in her first-grade class to JoJo Siwa’s D.R.E.A.M. Tour, and after the concert we went backstage to spend the rest of the night doing side ponytails and sparkly nails with JoJo. (It made for the cutest vlogs on our channel and JoJo’s!) This year, there are no concerts, and even if there were, we wouldn’t go into a crowd. What kind of message would that send to our subscribers?! So, we brought Ryder and her five closest gal pals to Disney World for a socially distanced birthday weekend. We felt super safe, since Disney is all outdoors, and Ryder met several brand new friends from across the U.S. who became instant besties and stayed overnight in our hotel room. We kept the sleeping bags six feet apart, of course! They also got Ryder to brave the Haunted Mansion for the first time. Check out the video “Ryder Inside the Haunted Mansion! Facing Her BIGGEST FEAR!!!” So proud of my firstborn! And we rode It’s a Small World with JoJo, who stopped by to surprise Ryder and make a cameo. Love you, JoJo!

We’ve made other sacrifices, too, like not seeing many people. Besides visiting Harley’s family in Arkansas for Christmas, we’ve been quarantining with a tiny circle of friends. We’ve gotten so close to the nine families in our little quarantine bubble and have loved filming all kinds of collabs with them. Double date bar hop night, pool party playdate, wife swap, husband swap, iPhone drop challenge (we broke nine iPhones in one video)… Who said quarantine can’t be fun? The other day, we filmed our 300th Day in Quarantine vlog, and then we did a Kid Swap video with one of our quarantine fams, The Shirlens. Since it was a school day, Braxxtyn & Jaxxyn switched preschools with The Shirlen twins. (Yes, one of the fams in our quarantine bubble has twins, too!) We’ve also been able to spend more time with my ninety-year-old grandmother (bless her heart!) in the nursing home a few miles away. All three kids are the absolute sweetest with her, and Great Grandma’s face lights up the vlog. So many kisses and hugs!

I’m going to be real with you, like I am in our vlogs: Expecting our fourth child during a pandemic has been rough. I’ve had to vlog some of my appointments alone, since Harley isn’t allowed to go (hospital rules), plus wearing a mask (again, hospital rules) was giving me the worst breakouts on my chin and nose. That is, until I discovered DKNY’s Printed Reusable Face Masks: The first truly breathable microfiber masks that are soft on your skin and defend against 90% of COVID-19-causing germs. DKNY Printed Reusable Face Masks come in over 15 different patterns for women, men, and kids, so the whole family can match while they mask! For 40% off your first purchase, use the code “Healthy Price Family” at checkout. Happy shopping!

The fam loved their DKNY Printed Face Masks so much that they almost didn’t want to take them off for our socially distanced gender reveal party. We had the doctor tell the gender to my sister, who flew in from Florida with five confetti-filled air cannons, one for each of us to fire. When Harley, Ryder, Braxxtyn, Jaxxyn, and I saw that the confetti was PINK, we were so excited, and then the air cannon dust exploded into fireworks — such a beautiful and unexpected surprise for all 40 of our guests! To watch the magic happen (our cameraman got the best footage), check out our video “Baby’s Gender Reveal Plus COOL SURPRISE FIREWORKS!” and don’t forget to vote on Baby Girl’s name. We’re deciding between Payzley and Mattyx, and we’ll name our beautiful girl whichever name gets the most votes from our viewers.

So get out there, and help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in your community! Also, be sure to subscribe to our channel. We have some exciting new content coming up as we prepare for Payzley or Mattyx (remember to vote for your favorite name, because on our channel, your vote and voice matters), and we’ll be posting more videos starting this Wednesday. We won’t have our usual Monday video, because we’re driving to Arizona, where we’ll spend a few family days at a waterpark. We’ve been quarantining for ten months, so we really need to get out, but we plan to stay safe while we’re staying sane by social distancing on the slides and, when we’re out of the water, masking up with our DKNY Printed Face Masks.
