Marley has been fighting the good fight for years helping the cycling industry help itself become more inclusive one size at a time. As the butts on saddles people, it’s encouraging and amazing to see her and the All Bodies on Bikes mission get the attention it deserves. Representation matters and we are 100% behind her mission to make cycling more size-inclusive.
I really enjoyed her most recent podcast with Payson McElveen, who is a fantastic host, talking about size inclusivity and how she views the word ‘fat.’ My favorite part had to be how she approaches stores or companies who don’t have her size. No matter how difficult, she always tries to be as patient as possible bringing it to people in a non-confrontational way. This approach has really helped get the ball rolling as people can be totally unaware of the privilege of walking into a store and always finding their size. Really makes you think if we could all approach issues with grace like this how many problems we would solve.
