An AI center at downtown Wolfson campus is expected to open in fall 2022. “It will be located in the same building and floor as our Business Information Technology (BIT) Center and our Cybersecurity Center, literally creating a tech corridor on campus, accessible from Kyriakides Plaza which runs east/west from NE 2nd avenue to NE 1st Avenue,” said Dr. Beatriz Gonzalez, President MDC Wolfson.

“MDC received a $1M grant from the Downtown Development Authority to pursue AI education. The grant will support curriculum development, AI equipment, and software. We also received a $1M grant from the National Science Foundation which will support course development and the creation of College Credit Certificate in AI. We are also very interested in applied AI in various disciplines and fields. For example, applying AI in education or nursing.”
