The Miami-Dade Nonprofit Support Grants Program has officially launched! Since the beginning of the pandemic, I’ve received requests from nonprofit organizations looking for relief from the impacts they have endured due to the COVID-19 crisis. Well, now it’s time for the helpers to get some help!

Backpack drive, led by Miami-Dade Commissioner for District 5, Eileen Higgins.

Miami-Dade County, in partnership with The Miami Foundation, is offering one-time grants to organizations impacted by COVID-19 through the Miami-Dade Nonprofit Support Grants Program. Funded by the CARES Act, this $10 million fund must be used to cover employee payroll, business interruption costs, reopening, and other expenses related to COVID-19.

Nonprofits with 25 or fewer employees who can demonstrate financial loss due to COVID-19 are eligible to apply. Grants will be awarded in amounts up to $47,500 based on gross revenue. The deadline to apply is September 30 at 11:59 pm. Apply here. The Miami Foundation can help you and your organization with filling out the application. If you find yourself needing assistance, email Support@MiamiFoundation.org with your questions.

Nancy Jackson, District Director, Office of Commissioner Eileen Higgins — District 5.
