The Force Behind Avenue 3
Steve embarked on a journey to transform a dormant avenue into Downtown’s Española Way. Through perseverance and strategic alliances with volunteers, the project comes to fruition starting October 17 through the 20th.
The multi-day event imagines the way Avenue 3 can evolve into a pedestrian-oriented and programmable downtown street. Then, to culminate, on Saturday, October 20, from 7 to 10 pm: Taste of Avenue 3.
“A celebration of our culinary richness, with music and dancing on the street. This is pet-friendly and children will have activities,” notes Steve Dutton, capturing in a long glance what pioneers once called Short Street. “Avenue 3 will soon dignify its place in the heart of Downtown, showcasing its diversity, and becoming a new Miami culinary destination.”
