6 Tips for Starting Soul Seeker: 6th Knights
Soul Seekers! Are you new to the quest and want to take your game up a notch? Read on to get up to speed with the basics you need to master on your way to the top!
Soul Seeker: 6th Knights is a game with a rich variety of mechanics and nuances, which makes the game fun to play but also might leave new players feeling a little lost. We’re here to give you some pointers that will set you on the right path.
1. Dress to Impress
Leveling up isn’t the only way to improve your hero in Soul Seeker. To keep them in fighting shape you’ll need to learn about and utilize all the different upgrade methods.
Equipment is a major part of your heroes’ performance. Each individual piece of equipment will have different stats so keep an eye out for that special little number. You want to equip and invest in superior pieces of equipment, even two pieces of equipment with the same name can have different stats!
Different stat bonuses will benefit different types of heroes as well, for example, Archers will want increases to their Crit Damage and Accuracy.
Paying attention to the stats of equipment (and runes) will help optimize your heroes and give you an edge in battle.
2. Try all the Game Modes
New players should primarily focus on progressing through the Story mode so they can strengthen their heroes, gain drops and enable their team to start farming for resources. Many features are only unlocked with progress in Story Mode and reaching a certain player level.
Once unlocked, other game modes, such as the Arena and Temple Armes, are important to play as they drop specific and unique rewards.
3. Waste not, want not
Make use of every hero and item you receive in the game. Duplicates are used in the game to increase the skill level of that character. Heroes are evolved by combining heroes of the same level. Use units you don’t plan to utilize as fodder for your main heroes.
If you need help judging this you can go to a hero’s profile and click the evaluate button in the Info tab, and see what other players think of that hero.
This principle goes for equipment too as you can combine pieces of equipment to make them better. This even works with runes! Merging runes will increase their class and improve their bonuses. Combining items is a key part of the game, so make sure you keep at it.
One man’s trash is actually the same man’s treasure in this game.
4. Farming Fun
Given the nature of the game and its emphasis on combination and leveling, you’ll need resources to reach the higher levels of the game. This is where Tip #2 comes in as playing different game modes will help you be more efficient at getting different resources.
This goes especially for F2P players, a diligent F2P player who puts in the effort, and knows where to invest it, will be able to obtain the resources they need from the game without paying.
To this end, players may be wise to stockpile their diamonds and use them for AP to help them farm longer and faster.
5. Teamwork makes the dream work
You might think that your 3 main heroes are all that matters, but using all 6 of your heroes in a team is going to be critical to your success. Also, as a general tip, having a wide roster of heroes to choose from will also help you adapt to different challenges, so keep summoning!
Your Sub heroes are going to offer you tactical flexibility during battles. The tag system is also going to be a major part of the battling experience as you progress. Learning how and when to tag characters into battle is a crucial skill.
Another important component of the team is Synergy Buffs. Your Sub heroes can help you achieve these as well. The link between heroes will offer buffs, including stat boosts and other beneficial effects, that will help you earn a victory. Take a look and see which characters link together and how you can incorporate them into your team.
6. Reaping the rewards
Soul Seeker: 6th Knights gives you a lot of rewards and bonuses, but you need to know how to earn and claim them. There’s a constant stream of Quests available for you to complete from running the Dailies, Weeklies and Monthlies as well as Achievement, and Story tabs. There’s also Attendance Checks, daily log-in bonuses and rewards from Events which will give you a ton of items.
Joining a Guild also provides a lot of benefits so clear the level requirement and join one as soon as you can.
Get into the habit of going through the right menus and it will lead to a host of beneficial rewards.
One example that may be less obvious to new players is the Illustration menu. If you go into the Heroes tab you can collect Diamonds for every hero you collect. Pretty sweet, right?
