Three AMAs, $2,100 Dollars worth of Tokens given away, and a heck of a lot of good questions!

PlayDapp fans, it’s been a heck of a week for everyone here working on PlayDapp’s vision of an interconnected Gaming Future! Constant improvements to our ecosystem, game events, and more. However one thing, well three things, outshine them all!

PlayDapp, with the help of three great partners, hosted three separate AMAs for the wider crypto Community! It was a pleasure to get to engage with the CryptoDiffer, Generation Crypto, and Mandy’s ICO Research communities. With so many awesome questions it was hard to pick the best to answer and to reward with our PLA token.

We know, however, not everyone will have had the time to be part of one of these AMAs, so here we are with a great catch up. While we won’t be collating all questions and their answers we will be showcasing the best of all three. Want more? then check the links at the end for the full AMA!

Question:
@THasan20: As I am also a Gamer, Why a gamer should dive into PlayDapp? Why do you think, Blockchain Game is better than Non- blockchain Games?
What types of Games are you more willing to bring in the platform?

Answer:
Gamers are used to many of the concepts that are present in PlayDapp’s philosophy. Afterall trading items is already established. But as a gamer, what is lacking is that perpetual reward for previous play. Moving from one experience to the next and taking the value of all that game time with you. Regardless of series, genre, or platform.

PlayDapp is open to gaming experiences from a broad spectrum, with our background in mobile and PC gaming we feel that the Platform is well suited to onboard many types.

Question:

@Abisola1:
One of the major problems I see with the traditional central server based system is the inability of gamers to have full and total ownership over their game item. However, I feel this shouldn’t be so, in as much as you’ve paid for a particular game item, you should be able to have it in your wallet per blockchain, also you should be able to buy or sell secondary goods if you so desire. How will PlayDapp help address this issue that has been affecting we the gamers for decades?

Answer:
We feel this is unjust and should be changed. When a gamer pays for a game item, they should be able to have it in their ownership (wallet per blockchain).

They should also be able to sell or buy secondary goods as they see fit.

This is the main value proposition of PlayDapp. Users have 100% ownership of the NFT game items. They are free to trade or use in other PlayDapp games for benefits. PLA is the common utility token that can be used in any of our games and the C2C marketplace. Losing interest in one game essentially opens a whole new raft of possible experiences.

Gamers have been missing out on that persistent, system and genre agnostic reward and ownership and we think that PlayDapp and its ecosystem can help to give gamers that. It’s also a core reason why we are chain agnostic.

Question:
@altsking
You have bunch of notable partners onboard, What benefits will end-users will receive with this partnership? i.e. can a Samsung users just simply go to Galaxy Store -> download game and play or do they have to go to any specific PlayDapp installed on Galaxy to be able to play the games? What good sakes PlayDapp expect to receive from these partnerships and vice-versa?

** Are there any other industries can be benefits for adopting your tech or PlayDapp is only for games?

Answer:
Partners such as Samsung offer great access to users across the globe. And not only that but they help to bring in valuable experience, as well as access. Our attendance at Samsung Developers Conference in 2019 was a great example of a partner working with us. Of course, they benefit too, with us being agile and open to new ways to work.

Anyone that owns a Samsung phone can simply navigate to the Galaxy store and find our four current games there, waiting to be downloaded. This is an awesome amount of exposure for a blockchain game!

Added to this is the legitimacy that Samsung brings, with products like their Blockchain wallet, mainstream acceptance and adoption becomes that much easier.

Question:
@aladin2008: Cryptokitties is used to be one of the hottest gaming dapp in crypto thanks to crypto booming in 2017, however, there are very less people still play it today and the game seems to be vaporware. What do you think gaming dapp is lacking to be mentioned over time like centralized game (i.e Mario…)? How does PlayDapp address this issue?

Answer:
We decided that there were many variables and constraints to simply expand the service to Crypto users, so we selected previously serviced and verified games and are doing upcycling for the end-user.

These mobile games communicate through the gameplay itself to the general public, not users who already have Crypto, and then gradually introduce blockchain elements to enhance understanding step by step so that they can own valuable assets in the game. In turn, become NFT and crypto holders.

The advantage of PlayDapp is the freedom to move assets between games, and PLA that can serve as a public coin to make it easier and more convenient for users to trade freely.

In the process of gameplay, PLA can be obtained through marketplace transactions, and the payment is freely available between games, reducing the cash payment burden for game users.

For game developers, this interoperable game environment will be meaningful as a new user acquisition channel. Developers can introduce blockchain services by simply applying the PlayDapp SDK, provide ownership of game assets that users want, and effectively bring PLA and NFT holders into the game.

The ability to transfer some of the value among multiple games will remove a lot of the sunken cost burden prevalent in all traditional gaming experiences.

Question:
@daniehustl: What makes playdapp unique and what problem will it be solving to encourage mass Adoption in relation to Blockchain games ???

Answer:
In the case of our games, we provide free and immediate access to the game content without any subscription or hurdles.

You can enjoy the game first, obtain valuable items, create a Wallet based on the user’s judgment, and bind to the game. Our approach is frequently used in the traditional game market.

However previous blockchain games have not broken the hurdles nearly as succinctly. Our emphasis on handholding and guiding at the appropriate moment is the difference. Players play and experience, then once invested and connected to the game are presented the tools to make that play permanent with simple solutions to the perceived blockchain complexity.

We’re also partnering with Samsung Wallet, Kakao Klayton and other global messaging service providers to give access to a blockchain experience through Apps that users are already familiar with.

Question:
@jungsin70
Why have you chosen gaming as an initial focus for Playdapp? How does that specific use case demonstrate the unique value proposition of the platform?

Answer:
Games have always been the key enabler to mass adoption is any emerging platforms. Game content such as Ultima Online and Everquest brought about mass interest and monetization methods on a massive scale for PC online. Angry birds, Candycrush saga are similar examples for the Mobile space.

We have any doubt games will also be the most easily adoptable content and real life use case also for the blockchain space.

Although there is heavy emphasis on Defi and trading at the moment, this we feel is not the general interest of ordinary people.

The 160 Billion USD Gaming industry is bigger than the Film industry and also the digital goods trading market is 1/4 of the gaming volume. This is the market we’re trying to capture through our interoperable gaming experience and C2C tradable exchange service at PlayDapp.

Question:
@OlegDubinskiy
Progress is the first preference of any investor! Tell us about the recent major achievements made by PlayDapp? Also, what is the main event/announcement we can expect from PlayDapp in the near future?

Tell us a little about your flagship games Cryptodozer and Dozerbird, what are the uniqueness of these games and what are the opportunities for gamers?

Answer:
Recent major achievements for PlayDapp have been the simultaneous launch of two Mobile RPG projects, with our commitment to blockchain upcycling them. This has been the culmination of working with partners such as Samsung, not only to promote but to enable future use of products like the Samsung Blockchain.

CryptoDozer is a blockchain-powered arcade-style coin pusher game, which allows users to acquire DozerDolls (ERC-721) through simple to learn gameplay of dropping cookie-coins, various in-game boosters and special items. Players can combine DozerDolls into Fancy Dolls (NFTs) and increase the gameplay by leveling them up, as well as sell their collected NFTs on the PlayDapp MarketPLAce. Created by SuperTree, the world’s first gaming platform built using meta-blockchain technology, CryptoDozer is a game that everyone can enjoy. Since CryptoDozer’s launch on March 7th, 2019, it has been ranked first in the Ethereum game category and still maintains a top end position on several dApp ranking lists!

Games like DozerBird are also featured on the PlayDapp platform. DozerBird allows you to take the created NFT dolls and use them to collect valuable assets to use back in CryptoDozer. PlayDapp games are interoperable thus providing a portfolio of game content that gamers can enjoy with their non-fungible tokens(NFT).

Question:
@friendwithoutr
What are the benefits PlayDapp can give to common people? What will PlayDapp team do in order to reach common people with these benefits?

Answer:
Traditional central server-based systems do not give ownership to the gamer.
Example, you pay for the right to open a random box within a game but the result is still embedded in the game. The should be owner has no control of the said game item.

We feel this is unjust and should be changed. When a gamer pays for a game item, they should be able to have it in their wallet per blockchain.

They should also be able to sell or buy secondary goods as they see fit.

While at the same time, generate new sources of profit for the game developers.

For example, you buy a PS4 blue ray game. you can lend or sell to your friends many times but the developer and SONY receives nothing from these secondary transactions.

We give back additional benefits to the gamer and also the developer.

In order to invite ordinary gamers to this interoperable blockchain experience, we have recently launched non crypto games on traditional App markets such as Samsung’s galaxy store. We plan to launch a Google play version soon.

The reason we’re starting with a non-blockchain version is to eliminate any entry barriers and gradually introduce them to the concepts of NFTs and blockchain elements once the gamers are hooked into games they enjoy.

Lastly, through our partnerships with KAKAO and Samsung, we hope to be able to expand our outreach through Apps and devices people are comfortable with and are already using on a daily basis.
