The tutorial shows how to render the exploded axonometric to represent your conceptual idea such as structure, functions and relationships. It helps you to finish your final exploded axonometric rendering faster by using Rhino octanerender, Illustrator and Photoshop. There are a few steps to help you render faster and save your time on rendering.

  1. Preparing the modeling you have and starting exploding the modeling

1.1 Preparing the modeling and grouping the same elements which go to the same directions (including vertical and horizontal directions). Grouping elements helps to explode the modeling easier.

  1. 2 Exploding the model vertically (keeping the same distance you choose) . The same distance you exploded helps to make hierarchy clearer. Before you start exploding, you need to save the view under the Name View board.
  1. 3 After you exploded the model vertically, you might explode some parts horizontally. The combination of vertical and horizontal exploding sometimes make your drawing more structural.

2. Adding the materials on your model and starting rendering. Under the material board, adding octanematerials (only colors) and grabbing the materials on the different parts of your structural system modeling helps you finish your final drawing faster. The rendering usually spends lots of time. The method here teach you how you use Illustrator and Photoshop to get your final drawing faster.

2.1 Creating the octanematerials with different colorsunder the material board and grabbing on your model

2.2 Open the octane render view and start rendering to get 2 drawing which are Beauty and Material ID

2.3 Selecting all groups and Using command “ Make 2d” to export the lineweight drawing as Ai(Illustrator) File

3. Combining all drawing you have to finalize your drawing. The three different type drawing help you finalize your drawing faster and easier in Photoshop

3.1 Open the lineweight drawing in Illustrator to adjust lineweights and export into the photoshop in order to finalize the drawing

3.2 Opening Photoshop and combining three drawings

3.3 Using Photoshop to give them materials by using three drawings
