Advanced Analytics

When you choose the Advanced tab in DRA 2020, you get in-depth information about the characteristics of the map.
Note: If you’re not an expert, you should probably ignore the Advanced view. If you are an expert, you’re welcome!
There are six sections in this view:
- Rank-vote graph (image above)
- Seats-votes curve (image below)
- Advanced measures of bias
- Advanced measures of responsiveness
- Compactness by district, and
- Demographic voting analysis
Methodology
To estimate the partisan characteristics of a map, we use:
- A composite of statewide elections, and
- Fractional seat probabilities instead of all-or-nothing accounting, except as noted.
