Data for thousands of athletes must be processed prior to and during a dragon boat race. Many organizers have difficulty process the massive amount of data involved. With 3 years of intensive experience working with organizers in different countries, PikaPage now endeavours to solve this problem with a new app.

Individual Athlete Data Processing

A robust system is required to handle the large amount of individual data. Our customer and our design team think that the easiest way to achieve the initial data collection is to ask each team manager to add team members into each race entry. Member data is likely already on the manager’s phone contact list.

The system will be entirely cloud based so it can be used on multiple device, as long as there is internet connection.

1. Organizer setup a new regatta online
2. Team Managers register event categories — on mobile phone
3. Team Manager uploads payment proof- bank transfer receipt, etc. (Credit card online payment in future versions.)
4. Team Manager creates crew list with photos for each event entered (choose from phone contact)
5. Organizer verify registration details online (Payment status, crew details)
6. The public can view crew list of each team entry in App (thereby helping to spot violations — crowdsourcing!)
7. Organizer can edit registration data after deadline
8. Special interface for checkingin crew at marshalling point
