For those who didn’t watch Dragon Crossing’s first Town Hall, here’s a quick summary:
- Full game at launch (May 2023)
- All the team members and seed investors are locked behind a 12-month vesting period. They can’t sell in the first 30 days. No sell wall.
- Everything is gameplay focused. You need to play the game to earn tokens. If you play well, you’ll do earn more than someone who doesn’t play well.
- No passive rewards.
- There are 170 unique items in the game and items have a rarity system.
- The game has lore, original music, original art and voice acting.
- The chain hasn’t been chosen yet.
- There are 3 classes of heroes: Mage, Ranger and Warrior.
- There are Genesis Heroes and Rift Heroes. The only difference between them is that Genesis Heroes can find Summoning Shards that can be used to summon Rift Heroes.
- Summoning Shards are found by questing.
- Either type of hero can use a summoning shard to summon another hero.
- You need a hero to play the game. You’ll be able to quest, fight monsters, find items and NFTs.
- You can see a short game demo here:
- If you die, you lose all the items in your inventory except 1.
- The game can be played on desktop and mobile browser. No app so far.
- The game is finished. The focus these next weeks is testing, balancing and polishing.
- The game won’t have a transaction for every action. Any time $DCX is spent, NFTs are saved and heroes are summoned, you’ll have a blockchain transaction. The rest of the gaming actions will not need transactions.
- NFTs won’t be traded in game initially. You’ll be able to trade them in an external marketplace from day 1.
- There will be a total of 2,800 Genesis Heroes. 2,500 of these will be available to mint. 300 of these 2,500 will be available in the whitelist phase. The remaining 300 will be used for community giveaways, prizes and a handful for the team.
- There will be many opportunities to get whitelisted. Stay tuned!
