“Getting to Know Cosmos” is a set of events organized by Juan Antonio Lleo, DragonStake, and Crypto Plaza.

“Getting to Know Cosmos” is an initiative born from the collaboration between Juan Antonio Lleo and DragonStake, also backed by Crypto Plaza, recognized as one of the largest crypto communities in southern Europe. This series of events is not only a meeting place for enthusiasts and professionals but also an educational forum designed with a dual purpose: to offer those already familiar with Cosmos an opportunity to delve deeper into their understanding, and to serve as a starting point for those who, although interested, have not yet had the chance to thoroughly explore the rich and diverse Cosmos ecosystem. Through these sessions, the aim is to bridge understanding and share visions about the possibilities and future of this platform.

COSMOS DAY #1: Getting to know COSMOS

November 17th, 2022

Fredy, CEO of DragonStake, conducted an interview with Federico Kunze, co-founder of Evmos, in which they discussed his project, Evmos, and the Cosmos ecosystem.

Additionally, we had the participation of Misang Ryu, director of the CosmWasm Academy, who introduced us to this project. Its main focus is to provide developers with quality training in the Rust language and its applications for creating smart contracts within the Cosmos ecosystem.

Getting to know Cosmos: Challenges of the 2022

Workshop where attendees were taught to:
- Install the Keplr wallet and how to perform basic operations with it.
- Introduction to the Stargaze blockchain, which specializes in creating and managing NFT collections within the Cosmos ecosystem.
- How to create an NFT collection using the Stargaze Studio tool, which makes it easy without the need to type code.

The challenges involved:
- Creating an account on the Stargaze platform, uploading images and metadata of the NFT collection.
- Configuring the details of the collection, managing the whitelist for pre-minting prior to launch.

Introduction workshop to DeFi with Osmosis. How to use the decentralized Osmosis exchange to swap tokens within Osmosis. Also, understanding the different ways to provide liquidity to a pool available on Osmosis and how to partially or fully unwind that position.
We concluded by exploring how to easily transfer funds from a Cosmos blockchain to Osmosis, or the reverse operation, from Osmosis to the original token’s blockchain, using the powerful Inter Blockchain Communication (IBC) function. We also delved into how to operate with the more advanced version of Osmosis, Osmosis Frontier, which includes a large number of newly launched tokens and pools that are not sufficiently tested. Thus, if we want to operate with them, we must assume certain risks.
