International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day. A day that celebrates and commemorates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women all over the globe.

This year’s IWD campaign theme is #ChooseToChallenge. According to the International Women’s Day official site, “a challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts actions — all day, every day.”

To continue the conversation, we asked the women of Drake Cooper to sit down and film themselves, giving examples of gender stereotypes they’ve encountered in their personal and professional lives.

The results range from incredibly heartfelt and vulnerable to silly and casual, showing how important these conversations are for ourselves, our families, co-workers, and friends. Check out the video below to see how we #ChooseToChallenge gender norms, roles, and stereotypes that society has placed upon women for decades.

The more we talk about gender bias, the more we can help facilitate change.

What do you #ChooseToChallenge?
