Welcome Daniel Sangyoon Kim and Jonathan Choi to Draper Associates
Please join Tim, Andy and our team in welcoming Daniel Sangyoon Kim and Jonathan Choi to the Draper Associates family.
Daniel worked as an investment banker at Greenhill & Co and at Point72 before starting his own cryptocurrency startup. We got to know Daniel over several months as he worked with our partner funds. We loved Daniel’s curiosity, his structured thinking and how he shares the uniquely Draper Associates penchant for chasing new avenues — Before graduating from NYU Stern with a degree in Finance, he spent a summer working as a Starbucks barista. He kindly endures our constant jokes about coffee.

Jonathan worked at several technology firms including Facebook, Vungle (A Draper Associates portfolio Company), and DeepMagic (Acquired by Standard Cognition, a Draper Associates Company). He most recently worked as a researcher focused on AI and ML at South Park Commons. In his free time, Jon serves as a sous chef at Rintaro. Jon stood out to us for his deep tech experience, and his passion for research and we were deeply impressed by the breadth of experiences he picked up. We expect to use his culinary skills to wow founders into accepting our term sheets.
