Exponential Thinking

This batch of enthusiastic young minds sitting at the Hero City Hall of Draper University in San Mateo, call themselves the “heroes” of the future. Their eyes all firing with enthusiasm as they welcomed, in my opinion, one of the best speakers invited by DU, Mr. Pascal Finette.
Pascal shared his vision of the near future where AI, robotics, healthcare, biology science and other exponential technologies will be used to help us solve some of the biggest challenges facing humanity. He provided powerful messages that not only technology, but also human behavior, culture and societal changes will continue to change drastically in exponential ways and impact us as they have in the past 100 years.
We tend to see this rapidly evolving world as a collection of events, which we should try to embrace; history should be viewed prospectively as wholes. As in Amara’s Law, Pascal mentioned, we tend to overestimate the efforts of tech in the short run, but constantly underestimate the possible counter-effects of what this would bring to society and humanity. It should be in our veins, mind and heart to bring the best not only to our current generation, but to our NEXT 10x generations.
Pascal’s speech was deeply inspiring. A little mind inception for these 1st-time-entrepreneurs that will empower us to build companies through this new life-long career mindset. Dare to face all the exciting opportunities ahead. Dare to dream and spread your ideas in this ever changing world.
