Introducing: Bullclip

Today is momentous for Drawboard. In last 18 months, our team at has grown from four to fourteen. Our software engineers have committed tens of thousands of lines of code. We’ve also moved offices — twice.

Today, we are proud to announce our brand new online PDF markup and collaboration platform: Bullclip.

Bullclip is the result of our commitment to the design and construction industry, and it represents just the beginning of our knowledge and experience as a team.

This began three years ago.

In 2012, I worked as a chemical engineer.

The amount of material wastage created by paper-based markup was staggering. Our process was manual and resulted in constant rework if we made even a minor mistake. Worse still was the productivity loss of sharing single, physical, master sets. So in 2012 I founded Drawboard, seeking a solution.

Soon afterwards, the release of Drawboard PDF coincided with release of the Microsoft Surface devices, and the ability to write with digital ink represented an opportunity for us to create a solution that other software had not yet achieved.

We looked to architects, engineers and construction professionals to help shape Drawboard PDF. We saw thousands of users creating and using Drawboard PDF to do amazing things. It allowed them to take strides toward a paperless office. Drawboard PDF was then preinstalled on the Surface 3, Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book.

Using the easy-to-use features and technology made popular by Drawboard PDF; lightning fast rendering and a growing selection of tools, we then started building Bullclip. The goal: enable teams to mark up and collaborate over floor plans, drawings and documents in real time on any device.

Bullclip is an incredibly powerful tool for realtime annotation syncing and file management across Windows 10 and the web. Collaborate from anywhere in the world and see your markups appear in seconds on any device. Bullclip lets your team stay on top of markups wherever they are, on any Windows 10 device.

In the coming months, Bullclip will begin to introduce project and in-drawing communication, issue resolution, hotspots, media attachments and Bullclip for iOS. Our hope is that you and your team will never need to print or email markups again.
