Everyone has a brain, it’s that most people don’t use theirs. Thinking for yourself is hard, because it means that you must be responsible for your thoughts and actions. Most people rather be told what to believe, how to act and what to do. They don’t want to be responsible for their thoughts or actions. They want some where to place the blame, so even if they have independent thoughts, they would never say them out loud. That would be unthinkable.
People who stand up for what they believe in are some of the bravest people in the world. It’s hard to stand up to the ridicule and face a crowd of unbelievers. Even when you are with people who believe as you do, it’s still hard knowing that there are those out there who will shame you, ridicule you and hurt you because you believe in something different than they do. It doesn’t matter what you believe in, when your beliefs are considered less than someone else’s, standing up for what you believe in is hard.
Belief is power.
