Another disappointment: I need help

2 October

It turns out that I am not just days away from turning the first sod in the garden.

On Friday, then I had scheduled to work in my garden, I ended up instead discovering a (fantastic) shop while surfing my iPad. Then I went to the physio, who is treating my elbow and ankle after I fell over and broke my upper radius (as the doctors like to say) at ping pong. You can laugh – it’s pretty funny in a painful kind of way.

Then I went to the fantastic shop and bought the shelving, and a suberb jute rug, and came home and alternated between doing bits and pieces of work, and slothing around with BF, who was not feeling well because of having gone to the dentist first thing in the morning.

I didn’t actually finish the list in my first entry, because I am trying to write my blogs in 25 minute intense uninterrupted bursts (using Pomodadoro).

Then I spent ages talking about not doing my garden today over camomile tea with a friend (she had coffee, but I had already drunk my allowance of one!)

Now I am in the library in Carlton because I am at least going to get the writing part of this gardening project done.

My new, truly- I-really-mean-it-this-time pledge

Help me. I need support to make the changes in my life to make this garden actually happen.

So here’s what I am going to do:

1. From today, with this here blog, I do pledge to blog my Dream Garden journey three times per week for 25 minutes.

2. From today, I also pledge to spend one hour a week on the work needed to get the Dream Garden to happen.

This week’s task: make time to talk to S so we can start drawing up a plan for the garden. I have scheduled this talk for 11am on Wednesday.

My promise to you, dear supporters, is to try my darndest to stick to these two pledges.
