No One Really Cares About Your Glory

People might follow you on Twitter or Instagram and like your photos often, read your bio — but they really don’t care. And you put your coolest pic as a status feed or shout your mind on the stories, nobody cares.

Nobody Cares

I used to feel that people who fool around themselves and not studying, playing all the time, watching TV series all the time and partying and they are not utilizing the resources God has given to them, and I am doing it. I am kind of great and doing really better than others.

Nobody cares if you are a beggar or business tycoon. People might say “Wow, He is a Billionaire!” and would be impressed, but no one really cares.

It’s Absolutely Fine

However, after some amount of self-study, I understood that everyone has their own lives and have reasons for happiness. Some people are fine with boozing around and partying all the time, and it’s absolutely fine. Some people find comfort in learning new things or studying — it’s totally fine too.

Some people work hard to change the world and they do — it’s well and good, but nobody really cares. Some people really don’t bother much about the world.

Nobody Cares But Compares

I see people trying to rate each other using metrics like “He has that cool job”, “He is one among the rich”, “He travels around the world frequently”, “she has the coolest car”, “and she is above others”. This is a shit concept. This leads to nothing.

Many people wish like “How can I become like him or her?” Why do you wish that? It clearly shows that you see yourself as inferior to that person.

We Judge Others On What Basis?

The sewer cleaner is as much a human being as Barak Obama. Can you say that Warren Buffet is a “successful human” and a Taxi driver a “failure” in life? We judge others on what basis? Aren’t they accomplishing different purposes, which they are doing?

Never feel guilty for what you are doing as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone. Doesn’t matter if you failed many times or you haven’t tasted success once. Who says it’s the best thing to do and not doing so is the “bad” thing? I see people depressed for not being famous, wealthy and successful.

The Right Metrics

The only person who cares about you is yourself, and if you are lucky enough, your family. Personal achievements can be good for you, but nobody really cares. If you use them to think you are on the top of the world, you’ll hit the ground real soon.

These false metrics lead you to disaster. You are more likely to be successful if you stop judging yourself on metrics like these. No successful person targeted their achievements, but all unsuccessful people do.

I am not advocating that you should quit your job. I am saying that you should do what you are passionate about, without any expectations or comparisons with others.

Life becomes easy when you stop expecting things from yourself and don’t allow others to do the same.
