It is time for you to meet Julie Lindegaard Larsen —Operations Manager at Dreamcraft. She is the definition of initiative, curiosity and good energy. With a successful and grand move into our new Dreamcraft HQ, Julie’s focus and expertise is now on the back engine of Dreamcraft.

“I have always had a curiosity about surroundings, people, behavior and human relations in general. What makes us connect and open up to the people around us. What do we need to excel in our everyday work life? If we feel good, we will often do better!”

It is safe to say that Julie has collected her knowledge from her many years abroad. It was the urge to explore that drove Julie’s many journeys around the world. After finishing her degree in Marketing & Economic Management in New York City, she was not done, so she jumped solo on the first flight to Australia to explore the work-life there. Returning after a few years, where she also had a chapter in Vietnam — studying culture, she started to settle back into Denmark and the danish work life.

“I remember coming back to Copenhagen, and thinking that this would be a hard adaptation. I had learned so much around the world that was so different from the Danish approach to life (work & private). I felt something was missing here in Denmark. So that just got me more curious about — how can I bring that power of presence into my work life?”

Returning to Copenhagen she joined several different work projects, focusing on everything from customer experiences, performance coaching, leadership growth, project management, and brand development. As the career title was secondary for her, that open-minded approach led companies to reach out to Julie to get her ideas and energy effect to perform for TEDxFrederiksberg, ActiveCopenhagen, Kilroy, The Blue Planet, Carlsberg, Airbnb, and more.

Without knowing, those experiences gave Julie the opportunity to move her professional career into the startup ecosystem. Talent Garden Rainmaking became a grand step into that world.

“All through my career in various jobs, I have had to think on my feet. Jobs where you need to manage 100 different tasks throughout the day, all different and they change all the time. It’s like working on a highway. Super fun because of the speed, but you also need to be 110% focused at all times and ready to adapt. That’s why I felt a strong connection to the startup world, a special group of people combining what I love: passion, purpose, ideas and innovation.”

Fully entering the start-up ecosystem as office, community, and events manager, Julie was successfully running the co-working space Talent Garden Rainmaking — empowering and supporting the everyday life of around 40 startups in one house, hearing all frustrations and celebrating the grand wins.

There was a feeling of excitement and passion that she had never felt before under one roof.

Years after this eye-opener to the startup world, she has now progressed into her role at Dreamcraft Ventures. Working with the vital task of creating the best work experience for all employees and our community.

“The world today — especially in the start-up environment — every day is in a very fast phase. The power of presence is an important factor in my everyday life, but I also want to bring it into our work experience. So how can we drive presence in our office, our community, and our events? We are all just humans, and we all need a sense of presence with each other. That will make us connect on a deeper level. I believe that’s the power. So remember eye contact and say hey to the people around you. They could be having the next grand idea.”

With a successful and grand move into our new Dreamcraft HQ, it is now time for Julie to turn her focus and expertise even deeper into the back engine of Dreamcraft. As our Operations Manager, Julie will facilitate smooth operations and structure to make the #Dreamcrafters shine.

“My first year with Dreamcraft has been filled with many personal passions, including designing our new office space, planning and executing internal events, empowering our community plus many more projects. With this grand promotion, it is now time to really use my crafter superpower and make our cross-functional operations even stronger and more lean.

Dreamcraft is moving full speed ahead, so I am thrilled to start this next journey and show my crafting and ideas when it comes to operations, strategic planning and overall implementation.”
