Dreamforce & Salesforce Events

Every year I think I’m prepared for Dreamforce, but every year it goes by in a total blur. Don’t get me wrong, the chance to meet customers, learn from valuable sessions, and be part of a cutting edge company are all priceless. But when I look back the specifics are always lost in a haze of euphoria and excitement.

So if you’re like me and the specifics are hazy, or you couldn’t make it to Dreamforce and want to see what you missed, here are just a few highlights:

Aloha Culture Was on Display

Staying consistent with last year’s event and the ‘Aloha’ spirit of Salesforce as a company, Dreamforce was kicked off with a traditional Hawaiian blessing.

Stevie Wonder Dazzled the Crowd

Surprise musical guests have become part of the program at Salesforce, but this year Marc Benioff pulled our all the stops and welcomed Stevie Wonder to the stage to set the mood of customer love before his keynote.

Salesforce Partnered for Good, Again.

Last year attendees experienced the ways in which Salesforce has given back to the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. This year, another health focused initiative was highlighted with the WISDOM study, a project to investigate whether a personalized approach to breast cancer screening is as safe and effective as annual mammograms.

The IoT Cloud Was a Hit

Every year, Dreamforce is the stage for us to unveil our greatest innovations, and this year was not different. Co-founder Parker Harris wielded his Thor Hammer to unveil the new Internet of Things Cloud, powered by Thunder.

Lighting Struck Twice

IoT certainly wasn’t the only innovation this year. Possibly one of the biggest changes in the products history, Salesforce Lightning was a total redesign of the entire platform.

CMO Lynn Vojvodich Delivered Some Customer Excitement

At Salesforce, we are passionate about our customers, and you don’t have to look much further than Salesforce CMO Lynn Vojvodich to recognize it. Just look at that face as she introduces customer Western Union. LOOK AT IT!

And of Course, SaaSy Got Down.

What would Dreamforce be without the dancing mascots.
