We Are One — These are the first three words of the dreamr manifesto, and why I am compelled to write this paper and those that follow expanding on the Theory of One. Beyond the theory, we will also discuss implications and applications of the simple, yet paradigm shifting idea: We Are All One.
Oneness (newly defined): The idea that all things are connected, thus making all things actually One thing. The conscious state of Unity with all life.
Everything that we perceive to be separate from ourselves, is actually all connected on the fundamental levels of observable reality. All known objects are therefore one object, all forms of consciousness are actually one consciousness, experiencing itself from different perspectives for a very implicit reason.
Simply stated, the idea of separation is:
an illusion that we have firmly believed is true for millennia.
A theory once found only in ancient religions and philosophical belief, the truth that we are all one has been spoken about by nearly every prophet, genius, visionary and mystic teacher throughout our recorded history. Here are some examples:
Quotes from Masters
“A human being is part of the whole, called by us “universe”, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts, and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to enhance all living creatures, and the whole of nature in its beauty.” — Albert Einstein
“Oneness is the Source of love. Real love is the One celebrating itself as the two.” — Ram Dass
“He who has realized oneness with God possesses all knowledge contained in Him. Knowing the Lord as Beginning and End of all beings and worlds, a true Brahmin has knowledge of the hereafter and of the workings of nature on this plane of existence.” — Paramahansa Yogananda — From God Talks with Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita by Paramahansa Yogananda
“Embrace all things as part of the harmonious Oneness, and then you will begin to perceive it.” — Lao Tzu
Clearly, the idea of the Oneness of all things is not original.
It is commonly accepted (big bang💥) that the universe started out as a singular point and then rapidly expanded. However, expanded does not mean separated.
In more recent times, science has discovered the truth of oneness in the field of Quantum Physics and the study of String Theory. SuperString Theory provides the basis for a multiverse constructed of waves and vibrations, infinitely small, infinitely big and infinitely infinite. With knowledge derived from the famous Double-Slit Experiment, Quantum Physics also helps us understand that in experiencing our reality, nothing which is observed is unaffected by the Observer. From this we can derive that perceiving (observing) reality from the perspective that it’s all one will most certainly affect the reality that appears before our eyes.
The two videos below explain String Theory and the double slit experiment in beautifully simple ways.
In short, oneness has been proven scientifically.
This understanding has the potential to disrupt nearly every business and social structure on the planet. Systems built from a foundation of Oneness would simply disrupt systems built on a foundation of duality. This is not because systems built on duality are bad or inferior, not at all. It is simply because systems with a foundation of Oneness are in harmony with the flow of life itself and naturally thrive while providing an intrinsic benefit to the whole.
We are currently stuck in an illusion, or more accurately (as Einstein noted) a delusion of separation. It is our collective belief in this illusion that keeps us from taking the astounding leaps forward in human evolution that we are both technologically and consciously capable of in this very moment.
The irony here is that lasting positive global change could happen immediately if we all embraced the simple idea of Oneness individually within our own lives. When we understand that everything is connected, the one reflects the all and the all reflects the one. Lasting global change is a personal choice, personal to you and only you.
This is the power found in adopting the perspective of Oneness. Your relevance and your ability to create change in the world become very real, because you can not simply be one with all life and have no say in it. In fact, re-visiting our understanding from Quantum Physics, our perception shapes the reality we collectively experience. The Universe of waves and vibrations that we dwell in is alive and it is responding to you, communicating with you, and delivering experiences to your life in a very personal way. Nothing is random, it is perfect and meticulous, and that is the beauty of the Universe we are intrinsically a part of.
Things That Would Change Immediately if We Knew We Were All One
- War would be an after thought, world peace would be the new norm.
- World Hunger and Poverty would cease to exist forever.
- The Systematic Destruction and Pollution of the Earth would end abruptly.
- We would enter a new age of enlightenment — and conscious, social, and technological evolution would occur at a rapid pace.
