MLB The Show 19 drops in a few short weeks. Opening day in The Show means a volatile marketplace in Diamond Dynasty.

Some players with immense potential will be criminally underrated. Scoop them up in bunches and watch their stock rise. Here are our favorites to target, with a review of their Show ’18 price points.

Franchy Cordero

The Rookie of the Year and MVP of the Dominican Winter League in 2017–2018. Cordero’s Fangraphs Scouting Report rates his speed and raw power both at 70 out of 70. The skills are tantalizing. Our best comparison might be Javy Baez of the outfield, and he is preparing to play all three outfield positions. When you first see him run the bases, you’ll know why he has upside. Simply putting the ball in play with his speed will boost his average. We are buying shares on opening day.

His Show ’18 opened at a 136 stubbs price point and now sits at a cool 185 stubbs; Cordero peaked last summer at 3700 when he went off for a few weeks. A low-risk high reward price to pay for an outfielder with range, speed, arm strength, and power.

Ramon Laureano

Laureano opened The Show ’18 with a price of 170 stubbs. After his call up, he had 9 outfield assists. Another power and speed threat, Laureano hit 19 home runs across MLB and Triple-A. Further, Fangraphs.com contributor Paul Sporer believes a 15 home run 30 SB season is in the realm of possibility. With an excellent batter profile, we are buying in at his season’s closing price at 455 stubbs.

Byron Buxton

Buxton, 74 overall, is a former first-round pick with five-tool upside. Buxton has reportedly put on 21 pounds of muscle, and he is the best shape of his life. Buxton’s opening day price last season was sitting at an Ask Price of 180 stubbs. Similarly, his Show ’18 season, after marred by injuries, closed at 220 stubbs.

In Buxton’s last five completed orders, somebody scooped him up for 20 stubbs. The upside is here to be as good as Aaron Hicks, 82 overall. Afterall, the Twins let him go to make room for Buxton. As of today, he is 5 for 5 in spring training 2019, with 2 home runs and 10 rbi.
