Dear Contributor,

As you are well aware, over the past couple of months, DreamTeam has been working on a massive update. We can finally mention one aspect of what we’ve been working on: the new DreamTeam Player Profiles! We can’t go over exact details until the next development update; however, we can tell you that the profiles have a cool new feature that will help the gaming community deal with an increasing level of toxicity. With the new DreamTeam Profiles, players will easily be able to see who is worth playing with and who to stay away from. In addition to the new Player Profiles, DreamTeam is preparing to release its fifth platform game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, has updated a long list of UI designs, implemented our Discord sign up, sign in, and notification feature, and is putting the finishing touches on the Apex Overwolf app. Join us as we discuss some of the finer details in this edition of the DreamTeam Development Update.

Game Features

In October, many of the Game Feature updates were made across both Fortnite and Apex Legends. As DreamTeam plans to add more games at a faster rate, it’s essential that the platform becomes as game agnostic as possible.

Fortnite & Apex Legends

Both Fortnite and Apex Legends Challenges have been tweaked to improve user engagement.

My Challenges Section

The My Challenges Section has been added to Players’ Profiles in order to make keeping track of all challenges entered faster, and claiming and managing rewards easier. This will save players time by placing all of their challenges in one clickable place.

New Player Profiles

As stated above, we can’t go over the exact details until the next Development Update. However, we can say that, in October, we created the UI design and started the development of the new User Profiles.

In addition to the My Challenges Section and the new Player Profiles, the Game Features team:

  • Supported the recently launched Apex Season 3 with season 3 stats and the new Legend, Crypto
  • Updated a site-wide navigation UI design
  • Updated the UI design of our new unified footer
  • Created the UI design of the updated home page
  • Remastered the new registration UI design

In November, the Game Features team will:

  • Release the MVP of the new user profiles
  • Release the united navigation

Platform Features

In October, the Platform Features team worked hard to implement Discord integration and began working on adding the fifth platform game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Discord

DreamTeam users will soon be able to connect their Discord account directly to their DreamTeam profile. This will allow users to not only sign up or sign in to DreamTeam via Discord but be able to follow what is happening on DreamTeam and receive notifications directly on the app they know and already use. Discord integration will help DreamTeam stay closer to the gaming community and reach more users.

Call of Duty

In addition to Discord integration, the Platform Features team began working on adding CoD. The UX of the new CoD main page has been created, the UI of the LFG is finished, and the player stats UX and UI have been developed. As Call of Duty was once of the most anticipated games of the year, its addition to DreamTeam will help increase our user acquisition. If you aren’t aware of what Call of Duty is, stay tuned, as we’ll cover the game in-depth in the next update when we announce its DreamTeam launch!

In November, the Platform Features team will:

  • Release new sign up/sign in via Discord + Notifications
  • Release the first version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on DT (Registration, Profile with stats, LFG)
  • Implement CoD Challenges and Leaderboards

Game Analytics

The Game Analytics team has temporarily closed many of the DreamTeam CS:GO and LoL features, including Practice Games, Analytics, the DreamTeam Playground, and the Coaching Tool. The features will remain offline for an undisclosed amount of time. Until we get the go-ahead from Overwolf, we cannot discuss the details of the Apex Overworlf application. However, we can share that the finished prototype is ready and has been sent to Overwolf for review.

In November, the Game Analytics Team will:

  • Launch paid WESG advertisement campaign to our CS:GO audience
  • Finish and launch the new homepage for DreamTeam.gg

DesignLab

In October, the Design Lab:

  • Created UX Design of the updated Navigation
