ETHGlobal Hackathon and Trickle

Africa’s first ETHGlobal hackathon has come and gone. It was an amazing event filled with some of the most talented people in the industry. Our team, Nikita Savchenko and Kirill Beresnev, worked to come up with a very interesting concept: Trickle. Check out the video to see what Nikita and Kirill managed to produce:

After 37ish hours of work, sweat, and coffee, our team had Trickle up and running. There were around 30 teams at the event. To say that it would’ve taken a long time for each team to present and discuss the details of their project would be an understatement. As a result, our team was only given three minutes to describe and present their creation.

So what did the judges think of Trickle and our presentation? They loved the concept. How much did they love it? Enough to name Trickle one of the five ENS winners at ETHCapeTown. On top of that, our team received tons of great feedback, made several connections, and met and chatted with Vitalik Buterin. Yes, the Vitalik Buterin.

After the event, our team went to the afterparty, where they continued to rub shoulders with the whos who of the crypto and blockchain industry.
