Dear members of the DREP community,

In the first half of August DREP paid more attention to the progress of DREP’s technical products.

In terms of technical products, DREP public chain increased detection of transactions into the transaction pool to prevent blocking, Golang SDK dynamic library generation and testing; DREP mobile client continues to optimize wallet performance and transfer experience to improve transfer speed; DREP blockchain browser optimizes server performance and interface data structure and performance.

In terms of ecological development, DREP Institute talks about the development of DREP DID from the Twitter hack, blockchain technology is expected to push information economics towards trust economics in the future, and DREP has been working to improve interoperability standards for blockchain-based identity systems, DREP DID will be a hub connecting different projects; DREP main network is further optimized for staking and ecological development.

Technological advances

In terms of technical products, DREP public chain increases detection of transactions into the transaction pool to prevent blocking, Golang SDK dynamic library generation and testing; DREP mobile client continues to optimize wallet performance and transfer experience to improve transfer speed; DREP blockchain browser optimizes server performance and interface data structure and performance.

Public chain development process

1. Increase detection of transactions into the trading pool to prevent blocking of transactions

2. Golang SDK dynamic library generation and testing

Development of the DREP product line

DREP mobile client

1. Optimize DREP wallet performance

2.Optimize transfer experience

DREP Blockchain Browser

1.Optimize block browser server performance

2. Optimize the data structure and performance of the block browser interface.

Ecological development

In terms of ecological development, DREP Institute talks about the development of DREP DID from the Twitter hack, blockchain technology is expected to push information economics to trust economics in the future, and DREP has been working to improve interoperability standards for blockchain-based identity systems, DREP DID will become a hub connecting different projects; the DREP main network is further optimized for staking and ecological development.

DREP Institute | Insights from the Twitter hack to the development of DREP DID

Blockchain technology has the potential to transform the economics of information to the economics of trust in the future, and the blockchain industry’s pioneering use of DLT technology to prevent malicious tampering is a great experiment in building social trust. DREP has been working to raise the interoperability standards for blockchain-based identity systems. DREP DID grants users independent access to their sensitive data and privacy, preventing companies from misusing and manipulating user data. DREP DID will be a hub connecting different projects and may also serve centralized platform in the future, allowing more users to enter the blockchain industry seemlessly and take full advantage of the services it provides.

DREP Mainnet Further Optimized for Staking and Ecological Development

Since the DREP mainnet went live in June, the technical development team has been continuously working on various technical optimizations. At present, the application client coding and testing work has been completed, the mainnet operation state and monitoring test is also in progress; drep-cli has integrated the genaccount command, and gradually fixed the problem of increased interval between mined blocks caused by the slow stability of P2P in the DREP chain operation; encapsulated the Golang version of the SDK, docking all interfaces to DREP, Golang SDK dynamic library has been generated and is in the testing phase. All performance optimizations of the main network will provide the relevant SDKs and basic application development rules for the DREP Staking ecosystem.

The above is the DREP team’s first bi-weekly report for August 2020, and DREP will continue to work hard to further advance DREP’s technical and ecological development according to the planned roadmap to achieve more ground-breaking applications. Thanks to the members of the DREP community for their attention and support!
