There are many adventurous and breathtaking places to go for camping, canoeing, cycling, and hiking in Canada during the summer. However, the following list contains some of the most beautiful and popular destinations to enjoy fun-filled activities and go for sight-seeing during the fall season in Canada!

Fundy Coastal Drive

Fundy Coastal Drive is one of New Brunswick’s unique maritime treasures. Stretching along the Southern shore of New Brunswick, Fundy Coast Drive is one of New Brunswick’s most travelled drives. Apart from enjoying truly panoramic views of the highest tides along the shoreline trail, you can also hike, ski or drive along. Tourists can also walk along the trails leading to the waterfalls in the Acadian forests or through the otherworldly sea floor at low tide. Do not forget to watch for whales breaching off the coast of pristine beaches or explore fossil-filled mudflats. The routes are wheelchair-friendly and dogs on leashes are also welcomed on the trails.

Elliston

Also known as Bird Island Cove, Elliston’s Puffin site is home to several seabirds, including the Atlantic Puffin. Enjoy exotic regional and cultural celebrations hosted by Roots Rants and Roars, where you can relish food prepared by some of Canada’s best chefs while watching the waves crash against the rocks, seabirds or try to spot a whale. This site also offers scenic views of the unique Puffin Train and a replica of the front line trenches of the Great War.

Tofino

Basking in the sunshine and breathtaking sunsets, Tofino trails are famous for strolls that one can have through its temperate rainforest paths, post-summer calm, and misty silence. Tofino’s surf culture is also one of the most enjoyed fall activities, especially for female surfers participating in Canada’s first surf championship competition for women, the annual Queen of the Peak. Other water activities include watching the last of the huge Grey whales before they migrate to Baja for the mating season. For those who are not keen on getting into the water, you can also enjoy a bear watching tour as they prepare themselves for winter hibernation.

Banff National Park

This Canadian destination is best known for its trails, hot springs, and campgrounds. Ideal for friends, couples, and family, it is easy to rent a trailer and camp at the Lake Louise Trailer campground to get away from the hectic life of the city. The Banff Upper Hot Springs is also cherished by many tourists seeking to ease their sore muscles and relax in the hot spring water.

Whitehorse

Whitehorse’s night magic show is the most awaited part of any tourist visiting Yukon. Whether you want to enhance your Aurora viewing experience outside around a campfire with a hot drink or feel cozy inside a lodge, tour operators offer plenty of choices for everyone. You can also go for mountain biking, hiking the local trails and waterfalls and drive to the Alaska Highway while waiting for nightfall.
