Member-only story
the prologue
ash and dust
no. 19
As we try to keep
The summer fire lit
Can’t feel the depth of
Autumn’s chill
It’s quiet
Softly soughing through the
Maple leaves
And we change too
Let go and flow without fear
Make space for what I clearly see
Excitement and sadness and
Wonder and pain — I feel it in you
Do you feel it in me?
Cause I’m holding on too, to what
Part of me, it’s hard to tell
Afraid to burn away the past
Cause then where are we
Who are we?
Reborn.
The fire’s out
Let it smolder
Stars so clear
As autumn light
And maybe that’s the fire we now need
As we drift through the stars
Changing seasons together
