The bee’s a’bumble on the vine
Blooms open to his caress
Buzzed on nectar and sweet sun shine
Precious honey is the quest
~
Trees stretch their branches for the birds
The leaves dance to hear them sing
They lift their voices without words
With prayer upon their wings
~
The river flows, she twists and rolls
Alive and breathing the sky
Spilling life to thirsty souls
She gives and doesn’t ask why
~
The wind and rain and sun and moon
Bring nourishment to my bones
Heaven is here in Nature’s womb
Earth’s breath and blood my home
~
No pearly gates or streets of gold
Can match what we’ve been given
Mother Earth has blessed my soul
It’s all I need of Heaven
~
