Authors reading their own novels. This one’s a softball, but it seriously almost ruined Kite Runner for me. Writers? We’re great at writing. Are we great orators? Maybe, sometimes, But are we as great as professional readers? No. If we were, that’s what we would do for a living. Leave it to the pros.
