With one of our favorite holidays and our Annual Halloween Sale around the corner, the staff at OneBookShelf collected some of their favorite titles to incorporate into your Halloween-themed games!

A fast, casual card game for 2–4 players. The game’s a lot of fun as you work to defend your clubhouses from rival gangs bent on pumpkin bombing your hideouts. Use ghosts to defuse the bombs, witches to boost your defenses, and vampires to play extra cards. Easy to learn, plays quickly.

Planning a scare-tacular Halloween D&D game? Need a unique monster to terrify your players? 13 Horrors of Halloween is a haunted baker’s dozen of bone chillingly unique creatures each comes with torturously wonderful lore, 3 adventure hooks so a DM can quickly craft a one-shot or encounter around them, and a spine tinglingly detailed stat block. These drag & drop monsters can be used in any horror themed one shot or campaign and would make a great addition to your bandolier of miscreations to horrify and enrapture your table!

If the spider-shaped crumb on the kitchen floor terrifies you and you’re looking for a light-hearted, hilarious, and mysterious Halloween romp, then this 4-hour, single-session, parody-horror adventure will have your table screaming… with laughter. Including an interactive PDF, screen reader-friendly version, maps galore, and 5 pre-generated characters who let you live your mystery trope dreams, this Halloween adventure is the whole package, sure to create some joyful, lasting memories. Your “Mystery LLC” characters can even live on with 5 fully fleshed-out subclasses such as Bespectacled Sleuth Rogue and Way of the Coward Monk.

These maps are a great way to spookify your regular campaign. They’re available in gridded, non gridded, and VTT versions! I love these maps because they are pretty, spooky, and well laid out. Plus the print at home instructions offer 2 different scaling options.

If you’re looking for a more mature rules lite game, with incredible layout, and random surprises, MÖRK BORG is the pick for you this Halloween. Super simple to pick up and play right away, this hardcore apocalyptic fantasy will run your characters through several different dungeon crawling scenarios but, as a warning, not all characters have a high rate in survival. Great for a one-shot scenario. If the book is too small, there are plenty of supplements from Free League and other publishers on site, too!

Our Annual Halloween Sale is October 14th — November 1st so check out even more spooky picks on our sister sites and a couple freebies on the Featured Page throughout the sale!
