Mount Sinai Innovation Collaborates With 2019 HITLAB World Cup to Support Solutions for Women’s Health

Mount Sinai Innovation is proud to be an Impact Partner supporting this year’s HITLAB World Cup, an open innovation challenge focusing on women’s health!

The 2019 HITLAB World Cup is looking for innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups proposing novel solutions to fulfill or mitigate the unmet healthcare needs of women. Solutions can include software, diagnostics, digital products, or services that leverage technology to improve health outcomes and access to care for women.

The challenge is sponsored by Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Bayer G4A, Dreamit Ventures, SAP, and JLABS. Mount Sinai Innovation is thrilled to join HITLAB’s efforts to break down barriers to success for entrepreneurs in women’s health. Other Impact Partners include Plug and Play Tech Center, Union Square Ventures, humble ventures, GE Ventures, Touchdown Ventures, Ogilvy, FemTech Collective and Startup Health, to name a few.

Pitch Day will take place on May 21 at SAP Hudson Yards. Five finalist teams will pitch to a live panel of judges for a chance to win prizes. Judges include Nisa Amoils (Republic), Priscilla Beal (Bayer), Osnat Benari (WeWork Labs), Adam Dakin (Dreamit Ventures), Cynthia Isaac, (Syneos Health), Kate Merton (Johnson & Johnson), Sumit Nagpal (Comcast NBC Universal), and Deborah Zajac (Touchdown Ventures).

Each team will receive 1:1 mentorship with two subject matter experts prior to pitch day. The event will feature an Innovation Hub, powered by Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, where startups will have the chance to meet experts in a genius bar format and interact first-hand with emerging technologies.
