Effective Gradle Scripts
So you are telling me — Gradle can be effective?
As we added more features to the Dailyhunt app, we added more modules — and before we knew it, we had more than 35. It’s around this time that Gradle really started showing its true f(p)ace. We were forced to wrestle with Gradle to see how we could reduce the build time.
But Gradle showed us much more. It’s more than just knowledge, it’s… truth.
It turns out that Gradle is not as evil as we once thought! Or maybe we were tricked. In any case, during this exercise we learnt that when used effectively, Gradle has a lot more to offer and can really improve a developer’s experience in a large Android project.
