About DroidKaigi 2022 Day3

This article will introduce the contents of Day3, which have been long overdue.

About Day3 of DroidKaigi 2022

Day3 will feature two hands-on content sessions, codelabs and Developer Advice Sessions, as well as a Fireside Chat.

Codelabs

• We’ve selected some Google codelabs for everyone to work on, featuring Kotlin Fundamentals, Compose, and Design and Animation.
• Tutor staff members will be around to help with any questions or problems!
• Apart from the Google Codelabs, we will also have a table to support contributors for this year’s DroidKaigi official app!

Developer Advice Sessions

• This is your place to ask about app development, careers, and teams/organizations.
• We have invited the following professionals as counselors:
  - Ryosuke Matsuuchi (Developer Advocate — Google)
  - Yuichi Araki (Developer Programs Engineer — Google)
  - Yuki Anzai (Google Developer Experts for Android)
  - Takahiro Menju (Google Developer Experts for Android)
  - Masahiro Hidaka (DroidKaigi Organizer)
• The sessions will have a limited capacity, so you will need to register in advance.
• We have notified those who have registered for DroidKaigi 2022 on Doorkeeper about the registration, so please check your inbox!

Fireside Chat

• There will be two themes: “Staff Round Up of DroidKaigi 2022” and “About theDroidKaigi 2022 official app”.

Also, if you fill out our questionnaire at the Day3 venue, we will send you a DroidKaigi original hoodie afterwards! (Note: shipping will be limited to addresses in Japan)

Venue information and how to participate

Note: This is a DIFFERENT VENUE from Day1 and Day2!

Time: 10:30–17:00 (Attendees may enter/leave at any time)

• You will need an in-person ticket in order to attend
  - Tickets are available at https://droidkaigi.doorkeeper.jp/events/141969
• Please wear your badge from Day1–2 at the Day3 venue as well
• Please refrain from attending if you do not feel well.
• We are doing our best to prepare a live stream of some contents (Fireside Chat) on Day3 as well
• If you plan to participate in the codelabs, please bring your own PC.
  - Android Studio Dolphin should be setup and should be ready to build apps
  - Tutor staff members will be available if you have trouble with setups
• Light refreshments and snacks will be served at the Day3 venue

Finally

The Day3 announcement was delayed due to difficulties in securing a venue and planning content that everyone can enjoy.
The Committee will strive to create the best experience possible and we’re excited to have everyone join!
