Announcing the Scholarship Program for DroidKaigi 2024

Hello, this is aruke from the DroidKaigi Committee. We have finalized this year’s student scholarship program guidelines and will start accepting applications today.

This program is for students aiming to acquire knowledge of Android Development but feel that the transportation and travel expenses to Tokyo are a hurdle.

Eligibility for Applications

  • Students living in Japan and who are working (writing code) on Android or related technologies
  • Those who have difficulty attending DroidKaigi because of financial reasons
  • Those who can attend the DroidKaigi event for three days from Wed, 11 September 2024

Program Details

DroidKaigi will cover expenses for the following three items:

  • DroidKaigi 2024 ticket fee
  • Round-trip transportation costs for Shinkansen or airplane
  • Accommodation costs during the event period from 11 September to 13 September

Selection Method

The DroidKaigi Committee will conduct the selection. There are two evaluation items as follows:

  • Please fill out the application form with your motivation for joining and your past efforts and achievements in fields related to Android Development. Please provide as much detail as possible.
  • If you pass the document screening, we will conduct an online interview for about 15 minutes.
