DroidKaigi.collect will be held in various locations all over Japan!

Although the event is for developers in Japan, we’ve published this article to introduce the various local initiatives of DroidKaigi.

The staff are working hard to prepare for DroidKaigi 2024. In this article, we will introduce “DroidKaigi.collect”, an initiative that we will be working on with you until the conference.
DroidKaigi.collect is an event where people exchange information (through study sessions) about mobile technology. About 30 people gather each time, the event mainly focuses on communication while sharing development concerns and in general, talking about mobile technology.
Schedule of this year’s DroidKaigi.collect:
In 2024, DroidKaigi.collect will be held in the following cities:
・15th June, 2024 Osaka (The venue has been decided!)
・13th July, 2024 Nagoya
・18th August, 2024 Sapporo (Date has been changed.)
In fact, DroidKaigi.collect has a policy of holding events in various cities to reach out to engineers living in different parts of Japan. We aim to build relationships and value local communication to reach out to developers on a regular basis. Unlike annual conferences, monthly study sessions are held that are easy to participate in.
Although the Connpass event page is not set up yet, we have published this article so the schedule is more accessible to our participants and will be easy to plan accordingly (We will try our best to maintain the schedule as planned, but in the unlikely event that it changes, the announcements will be made through our official account).
I am planning to participate along with other DroidKaigi staff members, so I am looking forward to meeting people from various cities, those who want to visit different cities of interest as well as people interested in the mobile field.
Request from DroidKaigi
DroidKaigi staff members are from all across Japan, but we still face difficulties in preparations. So we are looking for people who can help with the following:
・Providing a venue in Nagoya and Sapporo
・Holding study sessions in cities other than the above-mentioned ones.
Since we don’t have much experience with places other than Osaka, Nagoya and Sapporo, we’re seeking individuals who can co-host the event, with DroidKaigi providing staff and speakers. If you are interested in co-hosting the event in your region or are able to provide us with a venue, please contact us through DroidKaigi or mhidaka.
