Session Adoption Rate at DroidKaigi 2019

The official site has been lauched, and the Call for Speakers (CfS) is now open!

While we’re at it, let’s take a look at the acceptance rate of proposals for this past DroidKaigi.
TL;DR
- One in four proposals were accepted in DroidKaigi 2019.
- There was no significant difference in the acceptance rate between categories.
- Sessions in English are also welcome!

Overall, 87 out of 350 submissions were accepted, which makes the acceptance rate 25%; One out of every four submissions were accepted.

This rate doesn’t change significantly between categories.
Despite a difference in volume, a proposal for Designing App Architecture was just as likely to be accepted as a proposal for Hardware.
Sessions by language
DroidKaigi provides sessions in both Japanese and English. In DroidKaigi 2019, 24% of the sessions were in English.
Simultaneous interpretation is also available, so submissions in Japanese and in English are welcome!
