This article will help you use DronaHQ in Zapier.

Before using DronaHQ in Zapier, you should first accept DronaHQ Invite for Zapier — Refer to Configure Zapier with DronaHQ for more details.

Once DronaHQ is Configured, you can now start building your Zap with DronaHQ.

Scenario 1 — DronaHQ as a Trigger

  1. This is useful in scenarios where if some change happens to DronaHQ Sheets, you want to perform some action in some other 3rd party Apps.

2. Log in to Zapier and click on Make a Zap.

3. Search for DronaHQ App and select DronaHQ App. If you see more than one version of DronaHQ, choose the one with the highest version number.

4. Select the Trigger to which you want to Listen / Wait to take some action, as shown in the above image.

5. Choose DronaHQ Account with which you want to connect. On clicking the Sign In button, it will ask for an API key. You can get the API key from DronaHQ DHQ Studio Console and click on the Profile Icon on the top right, and under dropdown, select Settings. Now click on the Integrations Tab; under the Integrations section, you will be able to locate the API key.

6. Copy the API key and paste it into the Zapier dialog asking to add the API key.

7. Once, DronaHQ account is connected, it will show you a list of Sheets / Workflow (App-Specific) in your account depending on the Trigger option selected in Step 4 above.

8. You can either Test & Review or Test & Continue.

9. Now for Action, depending on your use case, you can add any other Apps. For example — you want to sync data from DronaHQ Sheet to Google sheets; then, you can add the Google Sheet app and configure/map DronaHQ sheets fields with Google Sheets Columns.

10. Make the Zap live to see it in action.

Scenario 2 — DronaHQ as an Action

  1. This is useful in scenarios where some change happens in 3rd party Apps, and you want to perform some action in DronaHQ Sheets.
  2. Click on Make a Zap and Select the Third-party action which you want to act as a trigger.
  3. Once the 3rd Party app is set-up, then for the Action part, you can search and select the DronaHQ app.

4. Select one of the two options on which you want to perform an action, as shown in the above image.

5. Choose DronaHQ Account. If the account is not already configured, then it will ask you to sign in. On Clicking the Sign In button, it will ask for an API key. You can get the API Key from DronaHQ Studio Console and click on the Profile Icon on the top right, and under the dropdown, select Settings. Now click on the Integrations Tab; under the Integrations section, you will be able to locate the API key.

6. Copy the API key and paste it into the Zapier dialog asking to add the API key.

7. Once, DronaHQ account is connected, it will show you a list of Sheets / Workflow (App-Specific) in your account depending on the Action option selected in Step 4 above.

8. As shown above, for a given Initiate Workflow action, we will have to map the fields required for the Action to perform with the fields you get from the Trigger event.

9. You can either Test & Review or Test & Continue.

10. Make the Zap live to see it in action.
