Creperie Suzette, The Rocks
A quaint Parisian cafe in the heart of Sydney
Located 34 Harrington St, The Rocks NSW 2000
As you step into Creperie Suzette, you feel like you’ve been transported into Paris. What was once an antique souvenir shop, is now a quaint Parisian cafe along the cobblestone paved streets of The Rocks. It’s not the easiest to find and after strolling through a few alleyways, we stumbled upon this elusive French-inspired cafe.

The Peking Duck crepe was my favourite of the three we tried. It consisted of Peking duck, spring onion, cheddar cheese and hoison sauce which, with the exception of the cheese, are the key ingredients of the popular Peking Duck pancakes. It certainly was refreshing to see an Asian influence to these largely Parisian crepes. Definitely worth trying.
I was rather disappointed by the chicken and spinach crepe — the shredded chicken tasted rather dry and there was not much sauce to give these crepes flavour. In hindsight, the mature cheddar cheese and egg would have been a better choice.

We were quite full after our two savoury crepes but our dessert stomach got the better of us and we opted for the Le Fraise crepe, a dark chocolate and strawberry crepe. There was a sizeable dollop of vanilla bean ice-cream on top and the toasted walnuts added a decided crunch. An excellent choice!

Overall
For a relaxing weekend lunch along the Rocks, Creperie Suzette is the perfect place to unwind. The beautiful French decor and delicious crepes (highly recommend the Peking Duck) make for a lovely and satiating experience. Follow this up with some shopping the Rocks markets and a stroll along scenic Circular Quay.
