The Piazza at Castle Towers is the all-new mega food and entertainment precinct in the north west suburbs of Sydney. With over 60 places to wine and dine, patrons are most certainly spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding what to eat on a night out. Not to mention, the Piazza comes fully equipped with all the entertainment favourites from putt putt to bowling.

Back in late September, the team at Drool Worthy World were exclusively invited to experience the full force of what the Piazza has to offer by embarking on an exclusive food safari with a team of fellow influencers. Resident foodie, Mitch, started the trek at the wildly popular Holey Moley. Holey Moley’s 18 hole themed mini golf course both surprised and delighted the putters, who were immersed in the colourful and zany world of miniature golf.

After working up an appetite from what became a rather competitive game of miniature golf, the team moved to Guzman Y Gomez to munch on some of their stellar fresh tacos (with a compulsory side of guac) and cool down with their deceivingly potent frozen Margarita (think spiked slushies). The Piazza has a whole host of franchise favourites and is not limited to this ubiquitous Mexican eatery. Included in the dining precinct, The Piazza boasts consistently scrumptious restaurants like Criniti’s, Papparich and Taste of Shanghai.

However, the star of the show was undoubtedly Betty’s Burgers. The open layout old-school restaurant was deservingly packed. Mitch and the crew ordered spicy chicken burgers, which were generously doused with the red hot sriracha sauce. Many ordered extra patties to pack into the burger, because… why not? The bun was soft, chicken was juicy and the spicy sauce really gave it that “wham!” factor. The thick shakes and French fries complemented the burgers in true American fashion. If you’re not worried about clogging up those arteries, ask for Betty’s Burgers secret off menu items like the “double double”. Your heart might resist this option but your tastebuds will be salivating for more (as this picture below will attest).

If you don’t try the frozen custard at Betty’s Burgers, patrons can head to Tella Balls Dessert Bar for their sweet tooth fix. The bar has some seriously creative desserts like their “Tellafish and Chips” (i.e. frozen ice cream and donut sticks) or Pastatella (i.e. bowl of crepe based “pasta). If you’re feeling like some of the more conventional sweet treats, then order the Tella Balls signature doughnut which is injected with a healthy dose of liquid Nutella.

Overall

The only way that you can truly appreciate the magnitude of fun that the Piazza at Castle Towers has to offer is by embarking on a food safari like the food blogging community experienced that late September weekend. If you have some time off one weekend, I suggest that you head to the Piazza and cram as many activities as you can in a day. Just take a quick squiz at their directory board and design an impromptu itinerary. You’ll find yourself having bucket loads of fun, and only realising at the end of that day that you haven’t even left the shopping centre at all that day.

Overall rating: MindBlown
