HIT Crunch is an application that’s here to revolutionize the world of documents and information, especially in HIT because of the fragmented nature of Document Sharing Frameworks. One of the most challenging things faced by students across the world is getting the study materials and notes from different sources like college authorities and friends. And owing to everyone’s personal preference of using a different Platform to share the material — be it Google Drive, or Dropbox, or Google Groups or the now ubiquitous WhatsApp, it becomes difficult to synergize them to a single place. And that results in a mad scramble before the exams to aggregate all relevant notes into one place.

This application provides a one-stop solution for that. It brings in class notes, study materials, announcements in one place. The application syncs with the college notice board to provide real-time notice to its users. The application is tailor-made for Heritage Students. This will especially be helpful is a situation like when an emergency announcement needs to be made and need to be passed on to all the students in the least possible time.
The application is still in its development phase. Head over to the Github Link for a small glimpse of this application.

You are free to clone the repo and play around with the code and send pull requests.

One of the most challenging parts of building this application was to sync the app with the college website. Since we used Web Scraping it took good effort to bring forth the required pieces of information. HITCrunch was one of the two official Submissions to the DSC Solution Challenge from DSC HIT.
